Lukas is a foreign registered lawyer in our Technology & Innovation Group.

Lukas specialises in providing commercial advice to clients in the technology sector ranging from start ups, to large national and international corporations. Lukas has experience advising on service agreements, T&C’s, SaaS agreements, end user licence agreements, distribution agreements, joint venture agreements, re-working data management practices, drafting data sharing arrangements, undertaking privacy due diligence for transactional matters, providing regulatory advice, data transfer impact assessments and preparing privacy impact assessments. Lukas previously worked at Bird & Bird in Australia for a number of years.

  • Assisting a software company with drafting and negotiating a SaaS agreement with an Australian department store for the provision of digital workplaces.
  • Advising a global tech company on its global employee privacy notices, checking for compliance with the GDPR and other jurisdictions.
  • Advising a global tech company on the privacy implications of using facial recognition technology at its offices in multiple jurisdictions and drafting privacy notices and agreements to comply.
  • Advising a global tech company on the privacy risks associated with workplace monitoring in Australia across different jurisdictions.
  • Advising a global tech company on the telecoms regulatory implications of launching a cloud-based unified communications service across roughly 40 jurisdictions with other offices.
  • Advising a wide range of clients on the contractual implications of the changes to Australia’s Unfair Contract Terms Regime.
