David is a Partner in the Arthur Cox Belfast office, specialising in Corporate and Commercial matters and leads Arthur Cox’s Energy & Renewables sector group in Northern Ireland.

David’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, investments, corporate reorganisations and restructuring for a wide range of industries. In particular, David advises on a wide range of matters in the Energy sector including, in particular, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, compliance, governance, regulatory and associated legislative and licensing requirements matters and energy trading arrangements. David also advises private and public sector clients across the full range of company and commercial law areas, such as joint ventures, private equity, general commercial contract work and corporate governance. • Advised the sellers on the disposal of Phoenix Energy Group to a consortium of Power Assets Holdings, CK Infrastructure Holdings and CK Asset Holdings
• Advising ERG UK Holdings Ltd on the acquisition and development of Craiggore and Corlacky windfarms.
• Advising Pioneerpoint Partners on its acquisition and financing of the Tully anaerobic digestion project in Northern Ireland
• Advising on the construction of a new gas connection for Kilroot Power Station
• Advising a number of developers on the acquisition, development and financing of large-scale wind, small-scale wind, anaerobic digestion and CHP projects
