Ciara is a senior associate in the Employment Group.

She trained as a solicitor with Arthur Cox and qualified into the employment group in January 2020.

Ciara advises domestic and international clients across a range of issues arising during the lifecycle of an employment relationship including recruitment, immigration, engagement with trade unions and European Works Councils, regulatory inspections, internal investigations (whistleblowing, grievances, disciplinaries), engaging contingency workers, redundancies, dismissals and negotiated exits.

Ciara has acted for third-level institutions, semi-State bodies and for public and private companies across different industries including retail, financial services, telecoms, pharma and has gained particular experience advising in the context of infrastructure projects.

She has represented clients in employment-related mediation and litigation before the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court, the Circuit Court and the High Court and advises on the development, implementation and review of company policies and procedures.

Ciara is regularly involved in the employment aspects of commercial transactions, outsourcings, mergers, reorganisations and inward investments.
