

Partners Group and Greenlink: €1bn sale of undersea electricity interconnector

We have advised Partners Group and Greenlink on all Irish law aspects of the sale of the Greenlink undersea electricity interconnector cable in a transaction that values Greenlink at an Enterprise Value of over €1bn. The deal is a significant transaction for Ireland’s energy sector – with the interconnector having a nominal capacity that is equivalent to powering approximately 380,000 homes.
The team was led by Niamh McGovern, Cian McCourt, James Downey, Gillian Carragher and Eoin McCague, with Deirdre Sheehan and Thelma Byrne providing real estate advice and Danielle Conaghan and Jacinta Conway providing planning advice.
