ESG Newsletter Winter 2024
In our final ESG Newsletter of 2024, we look at recent developments in relation to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), now that the directive has been transposed into Irish law. The Directive will require in-scope companies to report annually on environmental, social, human rights and governance matters, and early preparation for the new obligations will be key for organisations that want to lead in sustainability and gain a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving landscape.
We look forward to Sustainable Finance Week 2024, which takes place from 25–29 November and brings together leaders, innovators and changemakers to accelerate sustainable finance across Ireland and beyond. We also take a look at the proposed delay to implementing the EU Deforestation Regulation, as well as discuss the key changes in the new Charities (Amendment) Act.
Our 2024 Sustainable Business Impact Report, which outlines the firm’s impact across the core dimensions of a sustainable business programme of Environment, Workplace, Community and Marketplace, has also been launched and you can read more about our progress over the last 12 months below.
