Arthur Cox was named M&A Legal Adviser of the Year for Ireland at last night’s Mergermarket European M&A Awards 2018 in London. The Awards recognise the achievements of Europe’s top dealmakers and reward innovative advisory work on some of the region’s most transformative deals of the past year.

Commenting on the award the Managing Partner of Arthur Cox, Brian O’Gorman, said: “This is the ninth time in 12 years that the firm has won this award and is testament to the quality and breadth of work carried out by our M&A team on several of the most significant Irish and international deals over the past year.”

Deals led by the Arthur Cox M&A team in 2018 include advising: Greencore Group plc on its proposed sale of Greencore US to Hearthside Food Solutions LLC; Applegreen plc on its acquisition of a majority stake in Welcome Break Holdings Limited; and Total Produce plc on its 45% acquisition of Dole Foods.

Earlier this year, the firm was also named Ireland Law Firm of the Year at the IFLR Europe Awards, Ireland Client Service Law Firm of the Year at the Chambers Europe Awards, Ireland Law Firm of the Year by Who’s Who Legal, Best Firm in Ireland and Best National Firm at the Europe Women in Business Law Awards.
